Going the extra mile:

At Clifton View we go the extra mile for our residents, whether it be celebrating their birthdays or special events.

Recently one of our residents turned 100 years old so we held a party at the home to celebrate the achievement which involved his favourite foods and games. We contacted a local company he worked for and they sent his birthday wishes too.

Some of our residents have always said how much they wish they would have gotten a tattoo in their younger days so we made that happen! We had a “booze and tattoos” day where our residents could pick their own tattoo and have a drink to go with it! (Can we add some photos from this day)

Buddy up scheme:

At Clifton View we understand that our residents will all have their own interests and hobbies that might not be shared with all of the other residents. What we have done is started a buddy up scheme which looks at staff and residents that share interests and the carer then becomes the residents “buddy”. Whether it be a sports team, films or hobbies, we ensure that every resident has someone to share their interests with.

Birthdays:

For all of our long term residents we ensure that their birthday is celebrated in style! We decorate their rooms with balloons and banners. Our activity coordinators will spend time with the resident before the big day and see if they have a birthday wish that we can help grant. Our kitchen staff make a special cake for every residents birthday which is decorated and personalised, the cake is then shared with the other residents so they can all celebrate.
